Our university is the only government university on the Asian side of Istanbul. Our engineering faculty was established in 1987 and started instruction in 1990.  There are 9 departments in our faculty. There are more than 1600 undergraduate students, 200 graduate students and more than 120 staff members in our faculty.

Innovation, perfection, quality are important in educating our engineering students. We give interdisciplinary, applied education to our students compatible with today’s technology.

   Our aim is to bring up students who can compete in the national and the international arena, open to development, who can come up with different solutions, who can transfer and apply knowledge to technology, who is respectable to the ethical values of the society. Our students are encouraged to do double major and study a minor branch. There are exchange programs like Erasmus in our faculty. Our students can go abroad and foreign students can come to our faculty. Each year more than 30 students go abroad and more than 10 foreign students come to our faculty. We also support the social activities of our students. For this purpose there are student clubs at the faculty. We want to be a pioneer in the international arena also. Our strategic plan is compatible with our vision and mission. We aim to raise technological leaders of tomorrow and to develop our faculty more.
